When we think of destination weddings, I think most of us think of the Caribbean or somewhere near the ocean, don't you? And sometimes, when you have it and when it's near you, we tend to take it for granted. Well, I don't live too far from Chateau Elan, and I keep forgetting how beautiful it is... and how my wife and I should spend a relaxing weekend there. :) I think we Georgians or Atlantans think that there's not much around here, but really, there is! There's so much and Chateau Elan is one of those places that's almost like a hidden treasure. Well, Melissa + Jeff definitely thought so because they chose Chateau Elan as their destination wedding venue! They live in NY and wanted something serene and peaceful, and they definitely got that with this place. It really is one of a kind and is a gorgeous place especially for a wedding! If you're from Georgia, you know that the weather is totally unpredictable, but wow... the weather was perfect for their outdoor ceremony and the rain held off til the reception. Whew! As you'll be able to see in the photos, it was gorgeous. Melissa literally glowed and Jeff looked sharp in his suit. Loved the special moment that they shared during their first look... Every decor detail was stunning. We met this couple thanks to Instagram. Pretty cool, huh? We so appreciate Melissa following our page. Can you believe that we never even met this couple until their wedding day?! As mentioned, they live in New York, so they planned their wedding all online and long distance. Planning a wedding even when you're local is hard enough, so I give huge props to this couple who not just planned a wedding out of town, but did it well. Very well indeed. Melissa + Jeff, thank you for "meeting us online" and giving us the honor to capture your wedding day. You guys were so fantastic to work with... thank you for an incredible day and giving us the trust to beautifully capture your day. We hope that you love these photos.... Maybe one day we can do a shoot in New York and please let us know when you're in ATL again! It's been an absolute pleasure and congratulations once again...
