A little road trip… I think everyone needs that once in awhile! It’s so neat to me how within just a matter of an hour or two, you can really find some beautiful places around you! Sometimes, we think that we have to make a long, expensive trip out of the country to get what you call a “nice” vacation, but it’s so not true! Even just here around us, there are so many hidden gems that you thought never existed! I think it’s a matter of finding the contentment in your heart that makes a place nice or not. It’s a choice that you have to make. The first time we came to this waterfall, we met a stranger who came here from Florida with his family on vacation. I was a little confused because for us Georgians, we would never think of going anywhere in Georgia for vacation…. rather, we would go to Florida, right? That’s when I realized, wow…. we really do think that the grass is greener on the other side. Yes, I of course want to discover the world and see other countries and all, but I’m really realizing that in the end, the quality time I get with friends, family and our couples is what matters the most. So, yes… this little road trip was so valuable to me because it gave me time to get to know Kassi + PJ and make memories with them in this beautiful waterfall! It was like we were all in an enchanted little forest together to create epic photographs of them during this special season of life. I was soooooooo happy when she chose this location because I just love coming here. It’s so peaceful and you get to pass by homes that are so unique and the scenery is simply amazing. And on top of that, I so appreciated the fact that they were adventurous. In a location like this, you have to be adventurous or we just won’t be able to do the shoot. If you’re not willing to go in the cold water or climb the waterfall, or get wet, etc… I mean, what options do we have in taking great shots? But, Kassi + PJ were wiling to do all of the above and more WITH smiles on their faces. They were so pleasant to be around and talk to… As dangerous as some things may have seemed (For those of you who follow us on Instastories, you know what I’m talking about!), everything went so smoothly. Craig got himself a wader and it was the most hilarious thing ever… I love that he makes us laugh so much! And on top of all these great factors, the weather was amazing too. Wow! The sun literally glowed on them and it just couldn’t have gotten any better. Kassi + PJ, you guys were troopers! Thank you for everything you did without complaining to make this shoot a success! It was a pleasure spending time with you, and we can’t wait to celebrate you on your wedding day in January. Your wedding will be our first one in 2020, and I know it will be a great start to our best year yet!
With much love,
Craig + Unchong
