Outdoor weddings in Georgia has many risk factors because the weather is just so unpredictable. I feel like it’s getting sporadic more and more every year. It’s really summer one day and freezing winter temps the next. You just don’t know what you’re going to get! Ideally, I think outdoor weddings really are beautiful… planning wise, it’s not my fav because you always have to have a backup plan, but wow…. not with Brittani + Averill’s wedding. Their ceremony was THE most ideal outdoor ceremony EVER! For us as photographers, honestly, outdoor weddings remind me of being crazy hot and sweaty. But, this wedding was set in the most PERFECT temperature AND it’s was gorgeous. The day had this perfect glow and the ceremony space was the most pleasant I’ve ever seen. I couldn’t stop telling Brittani as we were taking pictures how pretty everything looked and what a gorgeous day it was. But, nothing beat our bride’s beauty… she was just smiles all day and was truly a delight to work with. She may have been nervous inside, but she was calm as she could be and the day flowed so smooooooothly. I saw Averill right before their first look and he was in much anticipation for the day and looked dapper and sharp! Our couple seemed so satisfied and fulfilled in how their day was turning out, and we were so happy to see that. It makes our job much easier when the couple is chill, not stressed.
So, there are two sections to Park Tavern and this area is called The Piedmont Room Garden Tent, and it was our first time shooting a wedding there! I couldn't believe how much I liked this side more! They layout is better, the scenery is better, the bridal getting ready area is better, the list goes on… If you are a bride shopping for venues and want an outdoor wedding, you should definitely check it out! I loved how people hanging out at Piedmont Park just couldn’t get their eyes off of Brittani and her beautiful self! We had spectators all day!
Ok so, when the reception begins, we always wonder what the dance floor is going to be like… we’ve been to weddings where there were hardly any dancing to so much dancing that I felt like the floor was going to break open. And with our couples too… I never know if they’re the “dancing type” or not. I don’t know what I expected necessarily with Brittani + Averill, but ya’ll… they DANCED! THE NIGHT AWAY! It makes me so happy when couples do that! And, it makes photographing during the reception more fun too. We got to do something we’ve never done before at this wedding and it was doing a night time portrait with a champagne bottle. It was Brittani’s idea, and I didn’t know where to stand because you just didn’t know where the splatter was going to be. It turned out fantastic and now I wish all couples would do that! The reactions were amazing on camera…. Oh, Brittani + Averill! You guys were FABULOUS! We loved spending the entire day with you both and just simply having fun with you and your amazing family. Your brother and sisters helped so much and were so sweet! We pray that your days are always filled with so much joy and love as your wedding did. We appreciate you both very much and we hope that you fall in love with your wedding photos! Thank you for choosing us!
