First of everything is special, isn’t it? You always remember it because well, you know… it’s your first! They also say that the start of something is very significant as well and you know what? We couldn’t have had a better start of our weddings in 2020! On the first Saturday of the NEW year in this NEW decade, we began our wedding photography business with Kassi + PJ, and it was simply amazing. And, I’m not just making it up! The couple was so great to work with, they were gorgeous, the wedding party was fantastic and fun, everything ran ON TIME, and the day was beautiful. Now, the weather wasn’t PERFECT, but it didn’t rain and was sunny, so I’ll take that! I mean, it was a January wedding, so we all expected it to be very cold. It was windy, but we used that to our advantage! The wind made Kassi’s dress and hair flow so beautifully!!! You just have to know how to make the best out of everything and this couple had the best personalities to do that with. You can’t help but think that a bride is beautiful… but, some brides really stand out and Kassi was one of them. Her hair and makeup by Kristen White from Edge and Priss was exquisite! I don’t know about you, but when I think “wedding”, I think “go big or go home!” especially with hair and makeup! Kassi literally looked like a barbie doll! Her bold lips were YES, YES, YES! As a photographer, we need bold lips, and she made that choice for herself so well. We spent a day already with Kassi + PJ at their engagement session, so we knew that we were going to have a great day… PJ was of course happy at the e-session, but nothing like his wedding day! He was Mr. Smiles the ENTIRE time! You could just feel the joy exude out of him… he looked handsome and when first look time came around, he was so anxious and excited!!!! He was overwhelmed by her beauty, and when we saw the emotions during that moment, it was yet another reminder for us that this is why we do what we do. It encouraged us to face 2020 with a new and bright vision for our couples for the year, to get fresh ideas and go at it 110% to make our couples’ days exceed their expectations. It was so encouraging! This wedding was also unique in that they had an American and Persian ceremonies! Craig and I have a multicultural marriage too, so we can relate in how celebrating both cultures is so special and important. We loved learning more about the Persian culture and capturing their traditions. Oh, Kassi + PJ, need I say more? You guys were amazing?!!!! Love you guys so much and thank you for giving us the best beginning to 2020! You guys are so beautiful inside and out, and I think you’ll agree with me when you see all your photos! We hope you love them and from our hearts, once again… congratulations!!!!
With much love,
Craig + Unchong
