Our business journey has fortunately given us so many opportunities that no other job ever would have. It’s a job that really gives us an adventure in life that an “office job” couldn’t. It definitely has its own stress and endless things that we had to overcome and still do just like anything else in life, but we don’t regret the choice we made one bit. As mentioned so many times before, our favorite part of our job is meeting new people and forming special relationships with them because in the end, isn’t life about love? At the end of the day, that’s what matters most and the business we are in truly gives us many ways to serve our clients in more ways than just photographing them. On a wedding day, we are ready for anything! Through our experience, we’ve learned that anything can happen on a wedding day. There have been weddings where we ended up becoming the coordinator, the decorator, the babysitter…. we have been the wedding singer, the videographer, bridesmaids, groomsmen… But, one thing that I thought we’d never be is the officiator. I mean, why would anyone ask us to do that? That’s what I thought anyways until 2020 happened and two couples asked me, and Marisol + Walter was one of them. I was stunned. Shocked. At first, I wondered, “nah…. why me? Nah…. I don’t want to mess up someone’s wedding. No way, I have no experience - I’m not going to do that.” But, Craig gave me a new perspective about it and really encouraged me to do so. Once I made the decision in my mind and then in my heart, God blessed me with the courage. The thought of possibly ruining someone’s wedding was unbearable, but God gave me the strength to be able to carry on this task. The more I thought about it, the more I felt honored. The more I rehearsed the words, the more it felt like an opportunity of a life time. The more I imagined how the day would be, the more I felt excited. Ah yes… when the day finally arrived, and I finally got to meet Marisol + Walter in real life, it all felt it was meant to be. Everything felt comfortable and in place. Everything was orderly and I felt like I’ve known them for years. The nerves subsided as I got more comfortable with everything. As Craig told me so many times, Marisol + Walter were such a sweet couple. And no, I’m not just saying that! Really, they were so kind and nice…. we had such a great time just talking and making their special day happen together. We felt like such a team with them and together, their dream wedding happened so beautifully. They chose the most stunning venue - it’s one of our favs and especially that day, it was simply marvelous. Yes, we can’t deny that it was quite windy, but we fought through it! We allowed it to work for us, not against us and it actually helped with our veil shots, so yay! And we have to mention their family because they were all so sweet as well especially the father of the bride… I just love intimate weddings because the emotions seem that much more raw. We had such a wonderful time going around Montaluce’s property taking the most gorgeous portraits of our gorgeous couple. The background made us feel like we were in Italy! The day flowed smoothly and all the details turned out so well. If every wedding could be like this, wow… what an easy job we would have! Marisol + Walter, we’ve said it so many times, but we mean it when we say that it was our honor to be part of your day. Thank you for all the opportunities you blessed us with. We pray that you have a marriage that is centered around Jesus and live a life that is blessing to Him together. You guys are going to lead such a fun, adventurous and impactful life and the world is so ready to be loved by you! Thank you for everything and we hope that these photographs will always remind you of how special your love for one another is. We can’t wait to see you next year and celebrate you with all your family and friends!
With much love,
Craig + Unchong
