If you know me, I’m a HUGE royal fan…. well, when Kate Middleton married Prince William, that is… We were one of those crazy folks that got up at 3am in the morning to watch their wedding LIVE on British television. I was so into their story and since then have been hooked on following the British monarchy and just learning more about it, especially the deep history. So, when I found out about “The Crown” on Netflix, I pulled all nighters to watch the entire thing. I can’t wait for the next season to come out next week! So, that’s what I’ll be doing for sure! :) Well, I begin with that because I’ve always wondered what it’d be like to be part of a royal wedding. I mean, seriously… when any of the royals got married, Craig and I would yell at the TV and say, “PLEASE HIRE US!” LOL! Well, our wish came true when Marina + Albair’s wedding day came. We went to their wedding expecting it to be like any other intimate wedding. But, the moment Marina stepped into her dress is when we knew that this wedding would be like no other. That this would be one EPIC day. Her dress wasn’t just beautiful… it was marvelous. Marina truly looked like a royal princess, and Albair with his suit looked like one dapper prince about to meet his bride. Together, they looked totally flawless…. Their taste in style and interior design were immaculate! Albair chose the most perfect hotel to shoot in and ya’ll… we felt like we were shooting a wedding in Europe somewhere. It all seemed so foreign and just out of this world. Every shot literally took our breath away…
We love intimate weddings like this because that’s exactly what it is… intimate. Every emotion seems so much more raw and real. It wasn’t an easy decision for Marina + Albair to have their wedding during this COVID season because Marina’s family couldn’t be there, but they went ahead, so it was a bitter-sweet day for sure. I love that they still chose to do it and find joy in all the love that surrounded them. They had so many family members and friends who truly loved them support their future together. The day turned out so beautifully, and there wasn’t a thing we would change about it.
Marina + Albair, you guys were amazing! Thank you for trusting us with your wedding portraits, and we hope that you love them as much as we do and more! We are so grateful that you guys came to us to celebrate this big day. It was such a pleasure being there with you and making your day the most special day of your life. May you be blessed!
