Even after all these years, getting compliments on our work means the world to us. But, when an encouraging word from another fellow photographer comes, that means even more. When someone who knows how to technically and creatively appreciate photography likes your work, it’s truly humbling. Well, Caleb + Tory are photographers themselves and LOVE landscape photography to be specific. When they contacted us, we were so stoked and couldn’t wait for their big day. We loved the vision that they had for their elopement! Elopements give you so much flexibility that wedding days don't allow, so we were so ready to take advantage of that. I mean, when can you hike to a waterfall on a wedding day, you know? Caleb picked out our favorite waterfall in North Georgia, and we couldn’t wait to give them amazing landscape photos with them in it! On the way over there, we were getting quite concerned about the weather because it was raining… no, POURING! The forecast all of a sudden changed and caught us off guard with that. Caleb called on the way with the same concern, but we checked out the radar and it seemed that it would slow down. We were all willing to take the risk and get this beautiful couple married! Sure enough, the down pour slowed significantly and by the time we got there, it was barely drizzling. Yay! Love it when our couples are adventurous like that! Tory was not a picky bride at all, so she was ok with her dress getting a bit wet at the waterfall too. But, not only was her dress beautiful… it was PERFECT for a waterfall shoot because even when it was wet, it didn’t look that way AT ALL! I was amazed at the material! After getting all the shots, we headed to Lucille's Mountain Top Inn, and had the most gorgeous view of the Georgia mountains. OMG…. just when we thought that we’ve seen it all in Georgia, nope… there’s always more, and the view from this spot was pretty incredible. They totally have an eye for knowing what would look great in photos, so I’m not surprised at all that they picked such a beautiful location. Loved how the ceremony was very intimate with their favorite people coming together to celebrate them. Even their guests looked amazing… and yes, including their dog. Sooooo cute! Tory + Caleb, you guys have been so fun to work with. Thank you for coming to us and trusting us with your portraits. You guys are a beautiful couple and we have photos to prove that! Congratulations, and hope you love them!
