Everyone looks forward to a new year… it symbolizes a new beginning, a fresh start and we can all use that especially from 2020. For our family, we have an extra celebration on New Year’s Day because it’s also our son’s birthday! I know, isn’t that crazy wild? Trust me, I was shocked when I woke up with contractions especially because we all joked that we would have our boy on New Year’s Day. So for us, he has always been a representation of a new beginning for our family and every time I see him, I also see God’s sweet new mercies. Craig and I always look forward to our very first wedding of the year. We can’t wait to see how God will set the pace and we are excited to follow His path and for the ride He has for us. It may be a rough one, it may be a smooth one… but, we always know He has the wheel and we trust Him wherever He takes us.
When the first wedding of 2021 arrived, we knew it was going to be a good start. Knowing how great Carly + Christian were to work with during their engagement portraits, we couldn’t wait! They’re the sweetest and the kindest couple ever. They have a way of making you feel so comfortable… they’re so easy going and funny. AND! When the groom is a Techie himself, I mean… what more in common do you need than that? Yes, that’s right! I graduated from GT too yeeeeeeaaaars ago. 2003! To know that I was amongst so many smarties at this wedding, it made me feel great about our future! hehe… sorry, UGA fans, but I’m not allowed to say anything nice about your school.
Gosh you guys, the entire day flowed so well… considering it was January, it wasn’t even that cold. Everyone was on time, everyone was happy and even in the midst of a pandemic, I couldn’t even really tell that corona was happening. We were so happy that they continued with their plans and celebrated their hearts out! Our most favorite part was their first dance. OMG…. their song choice was out of this world! Our kids LOVE Lauren Daigle, and as soon as I heard her voice, I knew it was her! It was a song I haven’t heard before and it was BEAUTIFUL… Craig even asked our couple for it and we’ve been listening to it in our car ever since. I so admire how this couple’s hearts are with the Lord. Yes, there’s nothing more important than that, and I praise God for it!
As photographers, our fav part was the car that they rented, the model T! And no, it wasn’t black! It was green! Say what? I’ve never seen one in color and it was so unique. Couldn’t wait to see what Craig would create with our beautiful couple combined with this stunning classic car! As always, it didn’t disappoint, and without further ado, let me just be quiet and let you look at the photos because they’re simply amazing. It definitely helps when your couple is seriously so good looking AND tall. They were truly like wedding models. Carly + Christian, it was sincerely our pleasure to be at your wedding.
