Memories are so powerful, aren’t they? Just thinking about certain things from the past can make us emotional to the point of crying or literally laughing out loud. It’s no wonder that we invest in them! We all want to remember special times in our lives forever… We want to have a documentation of what’s precious to us.I mean, if we think about it, we are in the business of memories, right? That’s what photography is especially in our specialization of weddings and portraits. People don’t inquire taking photos of “just because” or bad days. It’s always the most joyful day that they want to celebrate! And they photograph it because they want to remember it and share it with others. Photographs can even be an inheritance for your children too! Parents’ wedding photos, annual family pictures - all these things become family heirloom and very sentimental things for generations to come. In Ashley + Bobby’s case, we got to capture the journey to their first child! We shot their wedding almost exactly five years ago, and I clearly remember that day… People may think that weddings are just weddings to us because we go to so many of them, but let me tell you… we remember every single one of our couples and their day especially Ashley + Bobby’s! When you have a couple who are so laid back, so down to earth, so fun AND kind, how do can you forget? It was such a blast… we could talk to Ashley + Bobby for days! I can’t believe it was five years ago when we last saw them because life is just flying, but we just picked things right back up. It’s so easy to talk to them…. their maternity shoot was so relaxing and peaceful! They’re very natural in front of the camera and capturing their genuine smiles makes our job pretty dang easy. Bobby is into photography himself, so it’s an honor for them to trust us even after all these years. You could just see the anticipation of the arrival of their baby in their eyes… Gosh! How exciting and they’re going to be THE coolest parents ever, and we truly mean it. Man! Their kid is going to live this life so fully because of their loving parents that just embrace the beauty of life and love. Ashley + Bobby, THANK YOU so much for coming back to us to capture this special season of your lives. We had a blast with you and we can’t wait to see the announcement of your baby’s birth!
