These days, I have been reminded through many circumstances that character is always more important than talent or any skill that someone has. We are seeing this more and more as our kids are getting older and older. Recently, our oldest received the most honorable award called, “coach’s award” in her volleyball team. Only one player gets it every year, and we were proud of this more than anything else she’s ever done in Volleyball. Why? Because it showed her character! It was a great time to just reflect on what’s more important for our kids…. Even at weddings, character that we encounter is what will make that wedding great. Yes, the details, the decor, the flowers, the venue, the cake… all of that of course matters, but in the end, character is what we will remember. Character essentially is love, and love is what matters most. When it came to photos, for our couple, getting the fall look was very important to them. And obviously that’s why they got married in the fall, but rain in the forecast caused some worry. All throughout the week before their wedding day, we kept checking the weather to see what it was going to give us, but what we loved about our bride was that she was willing to get wet and even muddy to get the shots. We loved that about her! YES!!!! Do whatever it takes! It’s ONE day, ONE day that you will NEVER get back. That ONE day that you have to create as the most special and happiest day of your life! It’s about how you choose to see that day and what you choose to do and think that will bring the true joy. Because no matter the circumstances, it’s our mindset that will either make your wedding day the best or the worst. And you know what? That takes CHARACTER, and because our couple had that, we were able to go into the wet park and get the best shots ever! It actually created such a unique look… this special glow that we usually don’t get on a sunny day. When any of our brides express something specific that they want, we want to do whatever it takes to make that dream come true because we only have that ONE chance to make it happen for them. We were so happy because she was happy!!!! YES!!!!! Jacqueline + Lloyd, we hope that these pictures make you even happier! We hope that you will always get to relive your big day when you look at these photos. You guys are so beautiful inside and out, and your day couldn’t have been more perfect. Everything worked out beautifully, and we are so grateful for that. Thank you for being so kind to us to, and we love you extra because you guys are YELLOW JACKETS! Woot woot!
