We have a story to tell at every wedding, and Doria + Dexter’s did not disappoint whatsoever. Everything was running so smoothly on their wedding day… in fact, EVERYONE was not even on time; they were EARLY! So early that the bride and bridesmaids literally just chilled all together. One thing that stuck out to me at that time was how the bride’s mom was in the midst of all the ladies like she was her daughter’s friend. Loved the way they engaged with one another… I remember thinking how I hope to be able to be the same way with my girls… I remember thinking that I hope I could be a ‘cool mom’ just like that! Really adored their relationship… We then got ready for the first look and let me tell you… it was so sweet! Whoever thought of “first look” was a genius who revolutionized the way weddings should be run! When a couple decides to do a “first look” on their wedding day, there’s just no stress! So please! If you’re planning a wedding right now, please seriously consider doing it. It’s literally a win/win situation for everyone. Anyways… next step was the portraits time and the light was just so beautiful! But, something that has never happened before happened. Dexter noticed something about his bride and asked if we could take a break. She was getting weak and fragile. She then started looking a bit pale and then FAINTY! For a moment, we really thought she was going to just drop and faint. But, her groom was not going to let that happen on his watch, so he held her up and we safely got her a seat. We all stayed calm as possible and got her some water and gave her a good break. This ‘break’ was still ok time wise because as mentioned, everything was running early. After she felt herself again, we resumed with the portraits, but my goodness… that felt scary and we were so thankful that there are no more details to that part of the story because she was all good after that! Whew! I’ll let the photos speak for themselves for the rest of the wedding because it was exactly the way they were captured… BEAUTIFUL! We truly enjoyed every second of it…. a beautiful wedding is one thing, but when the couple is amazing, that’s what makes it so worth it for us. Doria + Dexter are seriously the sweetest and most genuine couple ever! After the last shot, we talked to them for a little while and the groom encouraged us so much. WOW! He kept thanking us and just uplifted our souls is what it felt like! It was just compliments after compliments and I stood there thinking how blessed we were to be able to have such opportunities. Doria + Dexter, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kind words. We wish you guys an amazing marriage…. a marriage that grows daily through all the thick and thin that life will bring. That your marriage will always be centered around Christ who will shower your with grace and mercy and love. We were so happy to be there with you as you guys celebrated your union. AND! I must mention the chicken sandwich. That sandwich beat any other ‘midnight snack’ we’ve ever had at any wedding. Really, it was a huge winner! Since then, I have been wanting to call the restaurant and ask if they have that on the menu because I’m craving it so much! LOL! I’m totally going back there just to get that sandwich… I mean, it even beats Chick fil a! That’s a big statement because Chick fil a is so good too! hehe Alrighty guys… hope you love the photos!
With much love,
Craig + Unchong
