Jewel + Eric / McDaniel Farm Park & The Atrium Wedding

Everyone has a story… When you sit and listen and listen well, you can’t help but to have a greater appreciation of who that person is.  Your level of understanding grows as well as your ability to love them.  You then can’t help but to glorify the One who created that being.  We’ve heard of Jewel and Eric and their story through mutual friends and remember thinking just how cool it was and how perfect God’s timing is when we learn to just wait.  After we heard they got engaged, these were our exact words, “Oh my gosh… I really hope we get to shoot their wedding.”  We waited and when the inquiry came, we jumped up and down.  We met with them at our favorite coffee shop, Cafe Intermezzo… As they shared the details of their love story, it was truly amazing.  Hearing it “live”, face to face, while seeing their expressions on their face, the way they looked at one another when they were sharing, the way they smiled at each other… I remember thinking, “you know, this is what my job is about… right here…”  It was a priceless moment where two couples who don’t really know each other can come together and just bond.  And, we owe that to our Lord Jesus is who is gracious, who is so loving, who is do divine in all His ways… We are so grateful that Jewel and Eric chose us… to give us the opportunity to be a part of their story.  We are thankful that they trusted us.  Their wedding was more than just a wedding; it was a celebration.  Every guest, every family member, every friend that was there celebrated these two people becoming one.  What a day it was!  And let me tell you, we fell in love with this couple even more… Jewel is hilarious… She made us laugh all day.  And, she was a bride that was on top of it.  I’ve never had a bride who followed the schedule so perfectly.  It was a wedding photographer’s heaven that day… She was so kind from the beginning of the day til the end… As she finished her makeup, then her hair, and then her dress… at each step, you could tell that the anticipation was rising.  For a good reason too!  She was about to meet her dapper groom (who by the way, was the most stylish groom ever!)… Their first look was precious especially when the tears began to flow.  The day was full of joy… Oh, and this wedding was like a reunion for my wife and I because we got to see so many old friends!  It was truly a blast… Oh my goodness, Jewel and Eric… you guys are precious. Your marriage is a gift to this world… We hope that God continues to bless you in all that you do.  Thank you for loving our God and sharing that love with all of us.  We love you both…
