As photographers grow their business, one of the topics is being able to reach to your “ideal clients”. But, before you can do that, you have do know what your ideal client looks like. Surprisingly, many photographers don’t know and at the beginning of our business, we struggled with that as well. We thought that getting to shoot any wedding was good for us. You would think that as a wedding photographer, you’d market to any bride or couple, but that’s not true. It’s fascinating how many different styles of wedding photography there are out there and what brides like. Over the years as we learned more about photography and this industry, we learned a lot about ourselves too and what we love and are skilled at. We now know exactly what we look for in our “ideal client”, and Leanna + CJ is THE prime example of that! Before you even begin discussing photography, a couple and a photographer need to be compatible. That’s the first step… photography comes second. Because in reality, if you don’t enjoy your shoot and receive a great experience, it just won’t matter and your photos will only remind you of the bad experience you had. So first and foremost, you need trust. That’s something that we tell our couples allllll the time. You have to trust us, if not, don’t hire us! That is something I felt so strongly with Leanna + CJ. They gave us their complete trust in everything. From planning this shoot, to the outfits, to every pose and location… they trusted as professionals and knew that we will make them look best and wow! Pictures definitely prove that we were truly in sync with one another. I appreciated that so much… I LOVE working with couples like this. They’re beautiful, they’re happy, they know how to just enjoy one another, and we have fun because they allow us to do our job. Everything went so smoothly during their shoot so much that as soon as we said our goodbyes and went in our car, Craig and I both said, “Wow! That was our best shoot yet! If anyone wants to know what an “ideal client” looks like to us, they’re it!” We went home so fulfilled… Leanna + CJ, thank you for being amazing! You not only look like models, but you dressed like models and you were complete naturals in front of the camera. I totally think you guys should consider going into modeling… really! Not kidding at all! We had so much fun with you both, and it was a pleasure getting to know you. We are ecstatic about your spring wedding at the Biltmore next year. It’s going to be EPIC!!!!!
