The timing of this post is so neat because just today, I was teaching our son about confidence and why being shy is something that we need to overcome. A mentor of mine once explained to me why being shy is actually a sin. I was like, “whaaaaaa?” You see, when you are, you’re keeping yourself from being able to do what God has created you to do. You allow the enemy to win because that’s what he wants you to do… nothing. Action is what love is, and action is what expresses our love to one another. He explained it in a much better way, but that is a teaching I will never forget and something that I feel so blessed to know. Knowledge is power and it was so cool to see that empowerment in our son’s eyes when “he got it” and understood. And that brings me to our couple, Brooke and Dennard. If I had to describe them in one word, it would be “confident”. Yes! I LOVE THAT ABOUT THEM! They’re not afraid, they’re not shy, they’re not timid… yet, they’re not arrogant, conceited or prideful either. They’re CONFIDENT! Confidence is what sets someone a part and confidence is what allows you to reach your full potential. God calls us to be bold and courageous, and they have truly fulfilled that calling in their lives, and I so respect that! Their day was full of fun… as soon as we stepped into their getting ready Airbnb, the atmosphere was so bright and happy. As soon as we saw our bride, we said “HI” to her and when she replied back with the most joyful “HIIIII!” ever, we just knew it was going to be a good day. And, IT WAS! If you know anything about weddings, one thing is that things tend to run late…. but, not this wedding! These ladies and gents all got ready on time, and we can’t express how much we appreciate that as photographers. Our couple was so comfortable in front of the camera that we felt every click of the shutter created epic shots. Brooke + Dennard, we absolutely loved working with you. We still clearly remember your engagement shoot and all the fun we had there… your wedding day was just as memorable and we hope that you’ll cherish your photos for a lifetime! Welcome to the awesome married club, and we pray blessings upon your marriage FOREVER!
