I’m a bit emotional writing this blog post because this was the last wedding that we shot before our nation got quarantined. I’m still in shock that we are in this state. Just completely and utterly in disbelief… I’m looking at these photos and wondering how was this only a couple of weeks ago? We could all gather so freely! Families and friends could hug, kiss, and be around one another anyhow they wanted to without being afraid. I will continue to blog, but in all honesty, I don’t know when our next wedding blog will be. Things are so uncertain. We had to reschedule so many weddings, and the feeling of devastation and struggle from that is real.
No one knows or has the answer on what the future holds for us all except God Almighty Himself. I may not know what’s going on and no one does, but one thing I do is the fact that God holds our future. And that is the only hope I can cling to. 2 Chronicles 7:14 says, “if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” I have hope that our earth will be miraculously healed. I have hope that we all will look to the ONE that can truly heal us all… Jesus.
Leanna + CJ’s wedding will always be more than just another wedding to us. Their wedding will always be a “wedding of hope” for us forever… I write this blog with hope that we will again shoot another wedding. I pray that we will get to photograph another bride who was just as beautiful as Leanna and a groom who was just as dapper as CJ. I mean… seriously… I’ve said this for their engagement shoot too, but I must say it again that they are some GORGEOUS people! One thing I’ve always wished I had was a great serious face. I’m one of those people that just “don’t got it.” The harder I try, the more awkward my face gets, so yeah, for someone like me, a normal smile will do. LOL But gosh! This couple, look good no matter what! What a gift! It doesn’t matter if their faces are resting, smiling, laughing, crying… in the end, they are just good looking and for photographers, that’s what you call being “photogenic”! For photogenic people, it doesn’t take much work to make their photographs look good. And on top of that, this wedding took place at my favorite venue, “Biltmore Ballrooms of Atlanta”. There are many venues I love, but if I had to choose ONE and only one, I would definitely choose this one. Everything about it is gorgeous and spectacular! I love the architecture and the ballrooms make me feel like I’m in a wedding dream. With all the talents of different vendors like the florists and lighting, it makes these ballrooms that much better. It gives you a feel of European architecture and I just love that! This venue also does a great job in showcasing the couple’s wedding cake and the staff is excellent. They really have a great system going!
This wedding was full of friends and family that just knew how to celebrate and partaaaaay! Love it when the reception is just full of life and dancing! It was great to see our couple having a good time and embracing their moments together. Ever since we began our business, this is the longest we’ve ever gone without shooting a wedding and let me tell ya…. we CAN’T WAIT to go out there again and capture our couples’ wedding days. Leanna + CJ, thank you for being our “wedding of hope” to us and to our followers. We have absolutely enjoyed going through your wedding journey with you. We hope that you love your photos and that you will call us again for any of your future photo needs. It’s been an honor… We wish you safety and health!
With much love,
Craig + Unchong
