One of the things that I love about engagement portraits compared to wedding days is that we can take our time to get to know our clients. For me, learning about them is just as exciting as taking photos of them. I LOVE hearing people’s stories because not one is alike! Listening to someone’s story can be such a learning experience and very inspirational. This is the reason why the Olympics is about the only sport that we watch. More than the actual sport, we are fascinated by the athlete’s journey. Well, speaking of the Olympics… We get to meet some gifted couples. Bill is a song writer…. (I know! So cool, right?), and he wrote music for one of the Olympic’s documentary! We actually watched it before we even met him and it was so neat to think that he was part of that! A huge part! WOW! He writes a lot of music for video games which is so crazy! I am seriously so proud to know him… Without music, movies, TV shows, video games, or our lives in general just wound’t be the same. Music is so powerful and impactful. It can make us cry, laugh, rejoice, dance or even be depressed! It seriously moves us emotionally in every way. I mean, think about how our bodies automatically move to the beat of a song. I mean, even babies do that! You don’t even have to teach it to them. Knowing this about Bill, I bet he is such a romantic guy! And, that’s great for Allyson because she is very sentimental, and they are so perfect for one another. We shot their engagement at her aunt’s property which was gorgeous…. as we were shooting, we noticed how Allyson holds special moments in heart in a very sentimental way. I appreciate this so much because that is one of the reasons why we love portrait photography so much! Photographs are VERY sentimental, and we are thankful that they value it greatly! Allyson + Bill, thank you for taking us to this beautiful spot to capture your engagement season. We had a blast and truly can’t wait to celebrate you both on your wedding day in December! Til then…
With much love,
Craig + Unchong
