Chaveli + Michael / Piedmont Park & Atlanta Skyline Engagement Portraits

Everyone has a story, and I love hearing our client’s especially during an engagement session when we are walking from scene to scene. It’s such a laid back time of getting to know someone new and learning how they got where they are in life, and it was awesome to do that with Chaveli + Micheal! I think that’s why Craig and I just love movies so much as well as the Olympics! What fascinates me the most about the olympics is when they have mini documentaries on an athlete to show what it took for that person to get there. Their determination, their grit and hard work and never quitting attitude!

On the way to the shoot, our couple got into a fender bender, and we felt so awful that they had to go through that right before the session. We thought that maybe they wanted to reschedule, but they didn’t and pushed through it! They didn’t just ‘push through’, they had such a happy and joyful countenance and we all had a wonderful time! Through our conversations, I learned that Chaveli actually have years of photography experience taking photos of newborns! We have a small percentage of our clients who are photographers themselves and every time, it’s such an honor that someone in the same industry would hire us. It really means a lot! We even did her maternity photos earlier this year, and those came out so beautifully as well… They had this sense of calm and peace of about them the entire time. It was the most beautiful fall weather ever, and the atmosphere of the evening matched their personalties so perfectly. As I was getting to know Chaveli, Craig and Michael started bonding by talking about Star Wars and all the sci-fi movies that I honestly don’t have much interest in. LOL! But, I loved seeing them getting into those conversations and getting to know each other that way…

Even though I’m really active on our social media platforms, there are many times when I wonder if someone is actually really watching it or have any interest. So, when Chaveli told us that she does watch our stories and reels on Instagram and knew many of the things that our family was doing personally and in our business, it was so encouraging for me to hear! (I still owe her the pumpkin spice latte recipe tho… it’s coming, Chaveli! lol!) Overall, it was such a pleasant shoot… I’m so thankful that their car and they were all ok from the fender bender and that we could still move on with the shoot. Chaveli + Michael, you guys were amazing and so fun! We both felt so comfortable with you from the beginning. Thx for being laid back and having the best personalities! We truly enjoyed all the convos and laughs that we got to share together. We are looking forward to seeing you again on your wedding day! Blessings to you guys!

With much love,

Craig + Unchong
