Family… it’s something we all desire to have and work very hard for. Now that I have a family, I realize just how much grit you need to sustain a good, loving family. It’s not easy… yes, there are times when giving up seems to be the easier road, but we keep on through God’s strength and wisdom that He always chooses to give us abundantly. I can testify that I am where I am today through God’s endless grace. Because I (Unchong) come from a broke family, I want to do whatever I can to not allow our kids experience what I had to growing up and even now. So yes… family is everything to me… so, when I see a family like the Fritz’s, I can’t help but just admire it and be inspired by it. We have known them for the last 5 years through photographing all of their daughters’ weddings and every encounter with them have been so refreshing!!! They give me so much hope and joy in parenting. I love how they’re real and have a genuine relationship with their children. No family is perfect… I’m the first one to say that! We all have our dysfunctions, but when you have Jesus as the light and the center of your family, you can’t help but overcome because He has already overcome. They shine Jesus’ light through the love that they show each other and others that they know.
We are so happy that we got to see them again through Leah + Taylor’s wedding. As expected, Leah was drop dead gorgeous and Taylor was the most dapper groom! They’re both so just laid back and fun to hang out with. And on top of all these qualities, they’re so photogenic! Did you guys see their engagement shoot? We literally had another bride send us a link to their engagement blog post asking us to do it just like theirs. When the subject is beautiful inside and out, yes, it definitely makes our job super easy and fun!!! It didn’t take much effort in trying to get creative with them. Every shot was a “BOOM BABY!” Their day flowed smoothly… everything was on time and it seriously couldn’t have been better. We felt like it was a reunion seeing all of their family and friends together again. We didn’t even feel like we were “going to work” at all… there were so many familiar faces! This venue was a new one for us so the creative juices flowed even more! We highly recommend the Cowan Historic Mill for sure! Leah + Taylor, it’s been a pleasure. Wait… not going to make it sound like it’s the end here because we hope to see you guys more and more as you celebrate more of life’s special occasions! But really… thank you for everything. It means a lot that you trust us with the most important day of your lives. We pray for blessings upon blessings in all that you do. We adore you guys!
With much love,
Craig + Unchong
