I don’t care what anyone says… Fairy tales do exist. When I think about our dear brother, Jose, and how much we have been praying for him to find THE ONE, I am awed by God’s goodness and faithfulness yet once again. God’s timing really is perfect, and there are no other better plans than His. We have been knowing him since he was a teenager, and that’s so weird to even say! How did so many years pass by this fast? First of all, he still looks the same… hasn’t aged a bit which is incredible too. During the near two decades of friendship, I can tell you this… He has always done whatever he could to help in any situation. There are so many times when we called him up to ask for the most random things, but one thing I will never forget is when I had to go to the ER in the middle of the night, and our first child was a little bitty newborn infant. He came over right away to watch her, so that we could do what we had to do… I wonder if he even remembers that or how much that meant to me. Fast forward… we had a party one evening at our house last year, and when he came with Tatiana that night, something was different. Their countenance was different…. they had this “glow”. IYKYK! And sure enough…. he grabs her hand and shows us the ring he put on her finger! Ya’ll! The man did it! We were all screeching and we were FLOORED! Gosh, how exciting! After the craziness calmed down, it was straight to planning time, baby! We had no time to waste, and we got things checked off quick! We weren’t just happy for him because he was getting married; we were happy for him because he found a beautfiul lady that he loved and adored. The more I get to know her, the more I love her! I love her personality, she’s so SMART, and fun to be around. I love that she is REAL and genuine… she doesn’t beat around the bush and just knows what she wants and goes for it! Their wedding day came around fast, and seriously…. it was one of the BEST weddings we’ve ever been to. So many things went right on their day… The weather, the schedule, everyone was on time, the planning was on point, the decor was FABULOUS, the bride was STUNNING, the groom was happy and DAPPER, the venue was GORG, the food was DELISH, the wedding party was so FUN, I mean, I can go on and on about all those things. BUT! What I’ll remember forever from their day would be the vows that they exchanged. My gosh…. they made everyone cry. EVERYONE! And then Jose had surprise vows for her daughter and son, and ya’ll… everyone LOST it. Just LOST IT! How special… In that moment, my childhood came alive. When I was around her daughter’s age was when my mom got married too. I also attended her wedding and grew up with a stepfather who took care of me and loved me. I wouldn’t be where I am today without that love…. I get what it’s like to have a stepfather who loves you… It was one beautiful moment to experience and quite a sight to witness. Tatiana + Jose, thank you for giving us the honor to be part of such an epic wedding! WOW! I could write a book…. We had the most wonderful time, and we look forward to making our friendship deeper with you both. Thank you for making us feel like your brother and sister, and who can we praise but God for that?! He is so good, and we pray that He never ceases to bless your lives, your family and your future together. We hope that these photos will be cherished and that when challenges come, that you can look at these and remember what God has done. That these are more than just pictures, but a reminder that God is good all the time and that it will allow you to relive each moment of the best day of your lives. May you have a blessed marriage!
