Joanne and Kyle’s day felt like something straight out of a modern love story… effortless, romantic, and full of character. We met them at the iconic Hotel Clermont in Atlanta just before they headed off to elope at Piedmont Park, and from the moment we started shooting, it was clear this was going to be special. Joanne and Kyle somehow managed to look classy, timeless, vintage, and trendy all at once… an impossible balance that they wore so naturally. Their connection was calm, joyful, and deeply present, the kind of love that doesn’t need to be loud to be felt.
Hotel Clermont was the perfect backdrop for their portraits. Quirky and full of personality, the hotel’s neat, thoughtfully styled decor gave us endless visual inspiration. We had a short, intentionally booked window of time to photograph them, which made everything feel intimate and focused. From the textured interiors to the rooftop space overlooking the city, every corner added to the story… Atlanta history blended with modern edge, just like Joanne and Kyle themselves.
The day unfolded beautifully, even with a few funny logistical moments that kept us laughing and reminded us that no wedding day is ever perfectly scripted. Timelines shifted, plans adjusted, and yet everything somehow fell exactly into place. Those little hiccups only made the day more memorable and real, adding to the joy rather than taking away from it.
In the end, none of the small details mattered nearly as much as the big one: Joanne and Kyle got married. Surrounded by love, intention, and a city that means so much, they began their happily-ever-after exactly the way it was meant to be… authentic, meaningful, and full of heart. And honestly, that’s what makes a day truly perfect. Congrats, guys!!!
With much love,
Craig + Unchong
