Where do I even begin with this blog post…? Do I begin by telling you guys how long we’ve known our bride? Or, by telling you how stunning our bride looked on her wedding day? Or, how impressed I was on how our couple handled the fact that it just down poured right when their ceremony was about to start and stopped right after?
Honor… what is that exactly? It’s defined as “great respect”, but to me, it goes beyond that. It’s acknowledgement, it’s kindness that’s given more than expected… it’s genuine love that you feel from another. It’s when someone treats you like you’re more important than them. It’s when they humble themselves and highly esteem you no matter who they are and no matter who you are to them.
“Sometimes things don’t go as planned….” That’s something I think we have all learned in the last few months, haven’t we? We all had to make changes, adjust and adapt. For some of us, it’s really been a struggle and for some of us, it was a great time of rest and a time to appreciate the little things in life.
Through our small group at church, we’ve been doing a personality study, and I’m once again fascinated! This is my third time studying it in depth, and just when I thought I knew it all, my mind is blown! I appreciate personalities so much because it makes me understand and love others in ways I couldn’t have had I not known these discoveries.
