During a shoot, sometimes photos is the least of our worries… One of the things that can be a challenge for us is the fact that we sometimes have never met our couple in person which means, we don’t know their personality, we don’t know what they’re going to look like, we don’t know how much they want or don’t want to be there, we don’t know what they really think of us, we don’t know if they’re in a good mood or if they had an argument on the way to the shoot.

Recently, it dawned on me that we no longer have babies. Our oldest is 13 and our younger two are 10 and 8. They’re definitely “big kids” now, and we are now officially in a different stage of parenting. When we see parents with strollers, we can’t believe that it seems like that season was so long ago for us.

Through our business, I had to learn to adapt to many things that I’m naturally not comfortable with. Being adventurous was something I was never interested in until I married Craig and we ventured into photography. But now, adventurous is my middle name! It’s pretty amazing to me how you can really learn to love something and change your “nature”.
