“It’s 2021”, they say…. Whatever the trend may be, whatever beliefs you may have, whatever tradition you want to throw away, there are things that will never change no matter how hard society will try to. For one, it’s God. He is never changing - He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. And two, it’s the fact that hard work is what it takes to accomplish anything or be successful in anything. Successful people stay on course. They don’t get distracted by all the voices around them. They focus and get it done! I love that about C.J. and his family. They’re all so well accomplished, and I love how they know how to achieve in life all the while having a loving family. Children usually follow their parents’ footsteps with worth ethics, and trust me… C.J. is definitely on the right track - literally! Meeting a high school senior on his high school track was a very unique experience for us. It took me back to my high school years, but it also took me to the near future of our children as well. As we watched C.J. do his thing, I couldn’t help but wonder what my son would be doing at his age and hoping that he too would have something that he loves to do and is good at like C.J. His parents were so proud when they showed us his endless medals. WOW! I would be too! This young man’s achievements on the track is some serious stuff… I just met him and I was so proud of him too! C.J., it was an honor to have had this time with you. We pray that God continues to bless you in your future endeavors. That He will guide you with every decision that’s ahead in the amazing life that He has blessed you with. You are and will do amazing things.
