My favorite type of people are people who know what they want! YES! I’m a very straight forward person, so it’s very refreshing for me when I get to work with couples who are great decision makers and just know exactly what they’re looking for on their wedding day. Maryn + Tommy are just like that, so it’s been so easy to work with them. They knew what fit them and their personality best when it came to certain wedding traditions. I think it’s great that they know themselves very well, so they knew how to vary some of the wedding traditions. For example, they had their own private ceremony and first look back in December just with their closest family members. I’m such a small group person, so I valued that VERY much! If I ever get married again (only to Craig that is, hehe), I would so want an intimate wedding. But, that’s not to say that everyone is like that! Everyone’s personality is so different, so I loved the way they were prioritizing what was important to them and to each other. They incorporated even cute things like having Chick-fil-a sandwiches as their midnight snacks for everyone. And, who says you have to have a grand exit with sparklers? No one! So, for Maryn + Tommy, they decided to jump into a pool to continue the party on… hey, we love creative ideas like that, and more than anything, it’s so much more fun to photograph when we can see that our couples are genuinely having a good time. Real emotions are what makes wedding photography different from any other types of photography, so it was so good to see them SO HAPPY… gosh, they just could not stop smiling and laughing all throughout the night. Loved that this time, they had more friends and family to celebrate with since all the serious things already happened back in December. This time, it was focused just on the party aspect of their wedding, and it was quite a success. What a pleasure it’s been with not just our couple, but their sweet and thoughtful families as well. They were all just so kind and made us feel welcomed, so we want to publicly express our gratitude to them here for that! Maryn + Tommy, what a journey it’s been! You guys have been fantastic to work with, and we pray that your marriage gets better day by day and that your love for one another grow deeper forever. We truly thank you for everything, especially for trusting us as your photographers. It’s been an honor to serve you….
