I love being able to make great relationships through all of the weddings we have the honor of capturing, but we also get to meet many new clients and people through our Instagram as well. We have so much fun marketing on IG that sometimes, I wonder how photographers marketed themselves before social media.
As a photographer, someone appreciating your work means the world… I think it’s still hard for some to see photography as “art”. Some think that it’s “just taking pictures… what’s so hard about that?” Especially nowadays where everyone is a photographer with their own phones and photos can be taken just at the thought of doing it, some may just not know how to value it.
So, you know how 2020 was everyone’s year? Yeah, it was supposed to be “ours” too. As traveling photographers, it was the year of our dreams. We had so many out of state and even out of the country weddings booked, but as you know… this thing called COVID happened, and we felt as if our dreams were being shattered.
I’m seriously getting old because our couples are looking younger and younger to me more than ever before. Sometimes, our kids are closer to our clients’ age than I am to them, and that’s just weird! Ha! Our kids have discovered many gray hairs on our heads lately, and I’m telling you… it’s kinda scary.
