Isn’t it interesting how as connected as we seem to be these days through social media, in some ways, the true connections that we have is still the same? It hasn’t really changed…. in my opinion anyways. Even though we can access just about any info in the world through the “palm of our hands”, we still don’t know “everyone” or “everything”.
These were a few of our favorite things from Lauren + Adeyinka’s wedding day. Yes, everything worked out so well…. Lauren was breathtakingly stunning. We absolutely LOVED her dress that fit her style and figure so perfectly! She looked absolutely elegant and classy. It was the cutest when her dog walked her down the aisle.
“You have such a fun job.”
“I wonder what it’s like to only take pictures as your job.”
“I mean, all you guys do is take pictures. How hard can that be?”
“So all you do is take pictures? You can make a living out of that?”
Those are real comments that we have received... MULTIPLE times and it cracks us up because I don’t know what my friends do exactly either.
Behind the scenes, many situations can arise during wedding planning season or when you’re planning for a photo shoot. Most people just see the end results which are beautiful photos and to most people, everything looks easy. But, if you’ve prepared for a shoot before or if you’ve experienced a session with us, there are many surprising things that happen.
Gems are precious because they’re rare. Gems are valuable because they’re hard to find. And every gem is special because there’s nothing else like it… every single one of them are unique. Isn’t love like that too? Love is not easy to find and the love you have between you and your significant other is like no other relationship that exists and there never will be.
There are many aspects to a wedding day, and we all know that every detail is important. It’s no wonder that some people choose to elope to make things easier. But, as great as eloping may sound, I know for me and all of our brides, we all want the wedding day that we dreamed of. I had mine 13 years ago (Wow!), and I wouldn’t change a thing. In fact, I would love to have another one. ;) hehe
The way someone chooses to spend their time, effort and money inspires me. We have known Leo + Christianne for many years, especially Leo. Wow, now that I’m counting as I’m writing this blog, I can’t believe that it’s been 15 years. Holy cow! Craig and I knew Leo when we were all young and single. We all hung out with other mutual friends from our church.
I usually begin a blog post with something that we LOVE about our job. But, to be honest, there are things that we don’t like too. One of them is that our job is very dependent on weather… Oy! How things would be different if it wasn’t. I dread checking the weather forecast a few days before a shoot because I don’t want to see what it has to tell me.
