F.I.F.T.E.E.N. Quinceanera… I love the Latin American culture, and how they celebrate this time of life in a young lady. It marks the passage from girlhood to womanhood, and It’s truly a beautiful celebration. It’s similar to how we celebrate sweet 16 in the U.S.
Senior portraits really hit me differently nowadays because our oldest is only two years away from it… Knowing that and feeling that, we completely understand how sentimental this season is for the seniors and for their parents.
Every milestone in life is precious, but there’s just something about college commencement that makes it a bit more extra! I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I graduated college more than 20 years ago, but I clear remember it.
Did you know? Craig and I met while serving at our church’s youth ministry together. We served there because we LOVED it! We both love teenagers… my favorite part is just talking to them and seeing their eyes sparkle as their share their dreams, hopes and goals.
Time… how and why is it going faster? Not sure if it’s true, but “they” say that there’s a hormone that we get as we get older that literally makes time seem go faster. I’m beginning to believe this more and more because the more I age, the more I can’t keep up with time.
